The wind- and waterproof film reflects 90 % of the body heat. It is more stable than the foil of a rescue blanket and due to its bag shape also better suited for an emergency bivouac. The Ultralite Bivy should be included with every first aid kit to provide critical assistance when needed. The ripstop nylon rucksack has room for some additional emergency equipment, such as a small headlamp.
